If you haven’t yet tasted the food scene in Northwood Village—home to an eclectic mix of restaurants serving everything from Italian to Thai, New American, Greek and Jamaican cuisine—an event this Friday provides somewhat of an all-in-one-shot opportunity to do so.

As part of the West Palm Beach neighborhood’s open-to-the-public Art & Wine Promenade, held 6-9 p.m. on the last Friday of each month, the 3rd annual Northwood Village Chef’s Challenge is Feb. 22.

Under a tent, participating Northwood restaurant chefs—who, on a regular basis, turn out such dishes as ravioli Alfredo, crispy duck livers, dim sum and burgers topped with sour-pickle chutney—will serve up some of their signature appetizers.

Northwood Village’s monthly Art & Wine Promenade—featuring live entertainment, streetside art, giveaways, wine tastings and activities for kids—is free, but sampling the chefs’ fare this Friday requires a $5 ticket. After sampling the dishes, you can vote for your favorite. The winning chef will be announced during the event.

Northwood Village is located a mile north of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard between Dixie Highway and Broadway Avenue. On-street and lot parking are available, and from 5:30-10 p.m., free trolley service runs between Northwood Village and West Palm Beach’s downtown library.
